If we only knew the answer to this question, we could have saved ourselves so much time and stress. Now, there’s finally someone who actually knows how to play. A woman shared a video demonstrating the strategy for conquering Minesweeper. However, not everyone is happy about it. Many people on social media complained that this TikTok clip has absolutely “ruined their childhoods.”Maybe we were just fine with not knowing the winning method after all.

Paisley, the owner of the video who goes by the handle @p.hops, showed us how to play step by step. She was trying to be helpful. It turns out that the game is very intriguing, and there’s a lot more to it than just touching any box and figuring out where the little explosives are.

You already know that after clicking on a random square, its neighbors begin to display numbers. This is where the secret is hiding! These digits actually indicate how many mines that square is touching. It means you can easily find out which un-clicked squares have a mine. It depends on how many mines the squares are touching. Also, if you think a particular square is hiding a explosives, you can use a flag or a question mark to keep track.

Of course, other people found it funny that a whole generation had played a game they didn’t understand. How about you? Would you go back and try to win again?
